My grandmother has this remedy for acne and its where you take distilled white vinegar and dilute it with water. Well then you take a cotton ball and soak it in the vinegar/water then dab it all over your face. The vinegar and water is supposed to dry out your acne and make it go away faster. This was my second time doing it and it made my face turn red and swollen, my breathing got shallow, my chest felt tight, my cheeks and forehead grew warm, and I got a sudden stomach ache. This never happened the first time. What could of happened?
I am afraid of the possible side effects from coming off of them- particularly terrible acne. I already have very low self esteem as it is and suffered from mild-mod acne before I started the pill so to me that's more of a reason to be scared-It can come back and possibly worse than before! Since being on the pill my skin has been pretty decent which I mostly attribute to the pill and somewhat to daily skin care. I've never really experienced the cons such as weight gain, migraines, etc. I've experienced some emotional issues such as depression and mood swings but I mostly attribute that to genetics. I just don't know what to do (sigh), go off the pill to get pregnant and end up with terrible acne and no baby because nobody will touch me or go off the pill get terrible acne just to go back on it to clear up the acne and never have a baby...HELP!

and heavy periods. I have been in a serious relationship for a little over 2 years now and want to stop taking them so I can get pregnant.

My acne has been clearing up but i still have a few pimples on my face. I have i have a bunch of acne scarring on my face but its relatively mild and they are just red spots, but like i said, there is a lot. It makes my face look as if i still have acne even though i don't.

I've started using Aloe Vera Gel on my face to clear it up and i use a sunscreen with SPF 15 that doesn't clog pores.

I was wondering if anyone had any other topical ways to help make these post-acne inflammation to go away fast. I do not want to use any home microdermabrasion kits or anything like that.

Should i just stick to what I'm doing or should i switch to another method?
And another thing, I also eat very healthy because my parents are both nutritionists. I do not eat any junk food. I basically eat lean proteins, tons of fruit, tons of raw vegetables, i use ground flax seeds in most of my foods, i take multivitamins also and i only drink water (most of the time with lemon in it.)
